VDSS Connect represents a pioneering initiative to foster internal communication, engagement, and transformation within the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS). As the project manager and developer, I played a pivotal role in bringing this innovative platform to life, working closely with the designer to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend functionalities within the Fusion framework.

At its core, VDSS Connect is a monthly interactive communication platform designed to facilitate engagement, learning, and transformation among VDSS and LDSS staff. With a focus on highlighting organizational culture and achievements, the platform acts as a centralized hub for sharing employee interviews, articles, videos, surveys, and other relevant content.

My multifaceted role involved overseeing the project management aspects and delving into the development process to ensure that the platform's design seamlessly translated into actionable features within the Fusion framework. This required a keen eye for detail, strong collaboration with the designer, and expertise in front and backend development.

VDSS Connect emerged as an EOS portfolio-sponsored project driven by a collective vision to empower staff members to engage, learn, and transform the agency collaboratively. Through this initiative, we aimed to cultivate a culture of openness, communication, and continuous improvement within VDSS, leveraging technology to facilitate meaningful interactions and knowledge sharing.
